These have been very challenging times for us all. Many people have been very isolated and not able to see their friends and loved ones on a regular basis. The Mission, Outreach, and Evangelism Board at LUCC has been working on ways to help us stay more connected within our congregation. To that end, we have started a Pen Pal Project as a way to reach out to members we are not able to see in person at this time. It is our hope that pen pals will be able to visit with one another through letter writing and eventually develop fun and lasting friendships! We asked the Shepherds for suggestions as to members who would appreciate getting letters at this time. The next step is to match our list of names with others at our church. The YAC group volunteered to begin the process and have already written some letters! We really appreciate the willingness of our youth to participate in this“old fashioned” way of communication. We can provide you with sample introductory letter ideas and other fun ways to start. We have folks who are waiting to hear from you!
