“What does the Lord require of you? But to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.”
-Micah 6:8

The MIcah 6:8 Project

For those who wish to be the change.

We watch the events around us and we hear that voice calling us to be a force for good and champions of equity. We can start small or think big, but there are many ways to put our faith into action. Perhaps you have an idea but are not sure how to implement it. Consider this opportunity! Lakewood UCC is making grant funding available for projects that promote social justice and lead to more just, diverse, inclusive, and equitable communities. The funds come from a church member who wants to encourage creative ways to promote justice in our communities and world. A committee will read applications and make determinations on the disbursement of funds.

Apply Now!

Have an idea you want to see come to life? Please read through the Project Evaluation Criteria and fill out an application!

Apply by emailing your completed form to luccmicah68@gmail.com

Applications for the project will be accepted on an ongoing basis. Members and friends of Lakewood UCC, as well as those with other connections to Lakewood UCC are welcome to apply. Our youth are encouraged to apply as well! We hope this funding will encourage you to get engaged or act for justice as you listen to the spirit lead you.
