Philippians 2:1-5

Even a cursory glance at various news outlets will tell you that we are a people divided. We can’t even agree on what the facts are, never mind agreeing on how to make meaningful changes to how we should live together as “one nation under God.” In his letter to the ancient church in Philippi, Paul asks for what seems impossible: “let the same mind be in you that was in Jesus Christ.” He lists attributes like humility, compassion, and sympathy as part of what it takes to put others before ourselves. What a radical change and welcome relief that would be! Join us this Sunday as Pastor Curt preaches on the call to unity in the midst of division and how we can help heal the divide within ourselves, our families, our nation, and our world.
