DESCRIPTION:Christ has risen! Easter is the high point in the Christian calendar and a day of great joy and celebration. Again this year\, we will be creating a “living cross” as a symbol of resurrection and new life. All are invited to bring a flower to put on the cross following worship. We will have plenty of flowers available if you are unable to bring your own. Join us for worship beginning at 10:15 am\, but we encourage you to arrive by 10:00 am as the sanctuary is usually very full this day.

Of the seven billion people living on the planet\, one billion are prosperous\, five billion are moving or have moved into middle-income status\, one billion are stuck in extreme poverty. The issue of extreme poverty\, where one lives on less than $1.90 a day\, is morally relevant in a world with sufficient planetary resources and practically relevant in a globalized world.

DESCRIPTION:This Sunday we are going on a hike at Deer Creek Canyon\, in honor of Earth Day\, spending time in God’s glorious creation together. Please bring a bag lunch to church\, we will leave the church at noon. Deer Creek Canyon is about 25 minutes south west of the church (https://www.jeffco.us/1208/Deer-Creek-Canyon-Park\, we’ll be doing the Plymouth Creek Trail to the Meadowlark Trail\, about 3 miles)\, we should return around 2:30/3pm.  Please wear comfortable shoes (it may be muddy)\, bring a water bottle. Parents\, if you’re interested in joining\, or bringing a younger kid\, you are welcome! Please let me know if you are coming\, as well as if you are interested in driving.
