DESCRIPTION:Jesus said\, “Let the children come to me.” On most Sundays\, pre-K through 6th grade children start in worship and then leave for Sunday School during the “Passing of the Peace.” Our volunteer teachers\, or Spiritual Mentors\, welcome the children into a positive\, loving\, fun\, and safe space. Through age-appropriate arts and crafts\, drama\, creative writing\, discussion and play that is grounded in Bible stories and spiritual practices\, children encounter God\, learn about Jesus\, and begin the journey of discovering how to live as thoughtful and engaged Christians.\n\n \n\nSeptember 4: “Setting Sail.” Acts 27-18. Paul and other prisoners were put on a boat for Rome. A storm ran them aground in Malta\, but everyone was saved. Paul healed people there before sailing to Rome. Purpose: To see that God was with Paul through difficult times.\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Youth from 7th through 12th grade are invited to join us for our first youth camping trip in a very long time. Logan Bennett and Jacob Liechty will be taking the kids to Glacier Basin Campground at Rocky Mountain National Park\, where we’ll be\, you know\, telling ghost stories\, roasting s’mores\, and running away from bears. Parents\, please drop off your kids at the church parking lot this Friday at 2:30 p.m. and pick them up Saturday at 1:00 p.m. If you haven’t already told us you’re going\, please contact Jacob Liechty ASAP.

DESCRIPTION:For four Wednesdays in July\, join us in the Youth Room as our popular Summer Film Series switches from an environmental theme to our main focus: “Identity: Becoming Who We’re Meant to Be.” This week\, we’re showing Bend it Like Beckham (PG-13\, 2002)\, in which Jess\, a soccer-mad London teen\, must choose between her love of the game and the demands of her traditional Indian parents. Whether or not you’ve seen the movie before\, you can expect plenty of food for thought as Pastor Curt leads us in a discussion of who we are and how we got here. Plus popcorn and drinks! And free childcare (available upon request)! What could be better?

DESCRIPTION:In April\, we toured the Action Center . . . and now it’s time for action! The Board of Mission\, Outreach\, and Evangelism has scheduled our church to volunteer at the Action Center (8755 W. 14th Ave.)\, sorting donated clothing\, selecting what’s in good condition\, and hanging the items in the Clothing Bank.
