She tries hat-making\, bridge\, and then cooking lessons at Cordon Bleu. There she discovers her passion. In 2002\, Julie Powell\, (Amy Adams) is about to turn 30 and is underemployed with an unpublished novel. She decides to cook her way through “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” in a year and to blog about it. We go back and forth between these stories of two women learning to cook and finding success. Sympathetic\, loving husbands support them both\, and friendships\, too\, add zest.\n\n \n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, April 18\, 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.\nOn Maundy Thursday\, we remember the harrowing events of Jesus’ final days. At 6:00 p.m.\, we’ll share a simple supper\, as Jesus did with his disciples. At 7:30 p.m.\, we’ll move to our Tenebrae service (from a Latin word meaning “shadows”)\, walking through the shadows of Jesus’ last days again\, listening to lessons and watching as lights are extinguished one by one. Please feel free to come to just the supper or just the service or both.
