Digging into our personal and collective stories will help us stay rooted and give us courage as we put our faith into action\, lead with love\, and care for creation in the many ways we are called as the Body of Christ in 2025 and beyond. DESCRIPTION:All are invited to join us for the final installment of a series of conversations about aging well. Our final meeting day will be on Monday\, February 10\, at 2:00 pm. The purpose of the group is to help support one another\, raise questions about aging\, and help resource one another as we get older. The group will be facilitated by Pastor Curt and Barb Kamlet\, a licensed therapist. You do not have to attend all the sessions\, but our hope is that most people will be at most of them. DESCRIPTION:Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent\, 40 days\, six weeks of intentional prayer\, introspection\, ritual\, and forms of fasting or abstaining from certain practices\, that ends with the sweet celebration of Easter Sunday. Ash Wednesday is when we look squarely at our morality  and say\, “From dust we have come\, and to dust we will return.” We are marked and anointed with ashes (from last year’s palm branches)\, a physical reminder of where we have come\, and where we will return. While seemingly somber\, this is a chance for us to be honest with God and ourselves\, we are here on this earth for just a short time and ponder how we will live.\n\nYou are invited to come by the church from 11:00 am-1:00 pm on Wednesday\, March 5 to receive the imposition of ashes from one of the pastors. Ashes-2-Go containers will be available starting Sunday\, March 2\, so that you can do the imposition of ashes with your household at home.
