SUMMARY:Lakewood UCC Birding Trip
DESCRIPTION:Optional Birding 101 Session on Friday\, May 12\, 7:00 pm\, Birding Trip on Saturday\, May 13\, 8:00 am\nThe snow is melting. The spring flowers are emerging from their winter nap. The birds are returning to their summer homes in Colorado. Join Len Ewald and Paul Michalec on a birding expedition. This is a chance to learn about some local avian friends and share a walk with some Lakewood UCC members. On Friday\, May 12\, at 7:00 pm\, Len and Paul will host an optional Birding 101 Session at the church. The intent is to introduce the basics of birding and to learn a few facts about local bird residents. Then on Saturday\, May 13\, at 8:00 am\, Len and Paul will lead a walk around Main Reservoir (Florida and Kipling)\, the parking lot just west of the Starbucks across from the King Soopers. No previous experience is needed. Binoculars are helpful but not necessary. If you can’t make the Friday session you are still welcome to join the Saturday walk.
