SUMMARY:La Puente Mission Trip
DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, September 15\, a group of Lakewood UCC adults and youth will head down to Alamosa\, CO for the weekend to volunteer at La Puente\, a mission that provides food and shelter for the homeless and those struggling to make ends meet in the San Luis Valley. We plan to do some crop gleaning on the farm\, food sorting in the food bank\, and cooking for the shelter. On the way home on Sunday\, we plan to stop at the Sand Dunes for some fun. Come join us for this inaugural trip to La Puente. The cost is approx. $50 each. Youth (13 or older) and adults are invited\, and we only have 5 spots left.
