Please join us on Thursday, May 28, and serve at the Delores Project. This month, we are serving dinner. We will collect food in the church parking lot at 6:00 pm, have servers arrive at Delores Project at 6:30 pm, and serve at 7:00 pm. We need food contributions as well.
The menu is as follows:
- Fried Chicken
- Potato Salad
- 3 Bean Salad
- Dessert-Celebration cake (purchased by Lakewood UCC Team Delores)
Our May dinner meal at Delores Project marks Lakewood UCC’s 4- year anniversary as meal program participants. That means that we have provided an estimated 50 meals to Delores Project guests. Thank you to all the servers, cooks and donors for keeping this ministry alive! Here’s to four more…..
BTW Emily Wheeland, Executive Director, informed us that volunteers like us help the Delores Project save an estimated $200,000 annually in their budget. How is that for impact?
