Bring your personal backpacks, lunchboxes, briefcases, and work bags with you to worship on August 19! We will Bless the backpacks, briefcases, volunteer bags as we enter into a new school year. All ages are invited to participate, bring a backpack or bag that carries your work or volunteering supplies. You’ll take home your backpacks and bags after worship, loaded with a blessing for the new program year. See Rev. Mollie with questions.
Thank you to all who came for a great first gathering of Brewatitudes, a monthly gathering to discuss theological topics in a casual atmosphere. Each month we will engage in a new topic at the intersection of theology, living, faith, and culture. Our next gathering will be August 19, from 3pm-4:30 pm at Green Mountain Beer Co. Food trucks will be available, beer is optional, openness to good conversation a must! Other upcoming conversations may be around vocation, privilege, violence and the Bible, religious vs. spiritual, and others as determined by the group. Discussion will be facilitated by Rev. Mollie, contact her with any questions.
You are invited to join us for a brief vespers service in the courtyard. Vespers is a simple service of evening prayers and songs, a way of giving thanks for the day that has been and reflecting on where God has been in the midst of the fullness of life. This will be a casual yet meaningful intergenerational service. Please see Rev. Mollie with questions.
Join us for a very exciting Sunday worship service where we will hear from Associate Pastor Candidate Rev. Mollie Landers Hatt. There will be a special Congregational Meeting and vote on the Associate Pastor Candidate following the worship service. We hope to see you all there at this invigorating time in the life of Lakewood United Church of Christ!
We are excited for the congregation to get to know Associate Pastor Candidate Mollie Landers Hatt and to welcome her to Lakewood UCC. There will be an open house at the church on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 pm. We would love for our community to come say “hi” to Mollie, and get to know her a bit before the Congregational Vote on Sunday, January 14.
