Mark your calendars to attend the Lakewood United Church of Christ annual Blessing of the Animals service on Saturday, October 1 beginning at 10:00 am.  Reverend Curt Preston and the Care for Creation team will host participants in a spiritual celebration of all creatures—great and small.  If you are an individual who recognizes the value of companionship and connection with animals, bring your friendly companion animal (pet) or a photo to have a blessing bestowed. This special service is planned in honor of St. Francis of Assisi (patron saint of animals) Feast Day. Join us in the church courtyard with your beloved pet. Refreshments will be served.
