Sunday, March 31, 10:15 am Isaiah 43: 1-2; Luke 18:35-43 In 1981, Rabbi Harold Kushner wrote a book called When Bad Things Happen to Good People and it instantly made it to the New York Times Bestseller list because it rang so true for so many people.  Bad things DO happen and they often seem to be so indiscriminate!  We’d so prefer it if the bad things could just happen to bad people, but it doesn’t seem to work that way.  Rabbi Kushner did not set out to answer the “why” question – and we will not either on Sunday –  but we will spend some time in stormy weather together and reflect on where God shows up in midst of pounding rain and terrifying wind.
